Furano is located in the centre of Hokkaido, offering dryer powder and more blue sky days than you will experience throughout most resorts in Japan.

The ski resort is comprised of two interlinked resorts, Furano and Kitanomine. Both these areas have nearly 1000 vertical metres of skiing for all ability levels, with night skiing until 9.00 pm. It is a world class resort that has hosted world cup ski and snowboard events, and regularly hosts national Japanese events.
It features fantastic long groomed runs, offering spectacular views over the town of Furano, towards the central Hokkaido ranges.
Your lift pass is valid on the lifts in both zones. Furano ski area 5 - 7 day lift pass, 1 day can be exchanged for either a Kamui or Tomamu lift pass (an hour away), 8 day or longer pass allows 2 days to be exchanged (1 day at each resort). Transfers are readily available in Furano.
